Here are a few of my favourite pictures of the middle part of Portobello, stretching from beyond the antiques section down to Portobello Green.
1. Portobello Radio - Vintage is making a comeback and this is the perfect place to flip through vinyl...
2. Portobello Tattoo - If you've ever secretly wanted to have an ink drawing etched on your arm, this place will cater to your every desire...
3. Portobello is full of lively bars and "Ukai Tiki " is no exception, particularly on Saturdays when it's packed from morning to night...
4. More vinyl at the market in Portobello Green...
5. Iron lantern...
6. Where did you get that hat? This Portobello Green market stall has a head cover for every occasion...
7. Vintage signs - Coffee? Tea? Coca Cola? Take your pick...
8. Book & Kitchen - Combining the literary and culinary!
9. Exotic-looking mushrooms - I couldn't resist taking this shot, because these specimens of fungi looked so delicate and appealing. Eventually, I bought some and, I can tell you, they tasted divine!
10. Fruit stall - Portobello is full of stalls like these (that were very popular, all over London, when I was growing up) selling fresh fruit and veg at pretty competitive prices...
